Glass Bead Making 104

This hands-on comprehensive, Intermediate class will be taught by accomplished artist Justin Sanchez. It will move past the basics of bead making to create one of a kind, torch-made Ring jewelry. This comprehensive 4 hour coarse will include all tools and equipment needed. Not open to first time beginners, some basic beadmaking experience required.

Learn to properly coat ring mandrel
Receive tips to maximize the use of heat of torch
Work with Moretti glass rods from Murano, Italy
Placing rings in fiber blankets to cool
Cold work the rings on grinders for a clean finish
First 3 hours will be prepping and torch working the Rings, last hour will be devoted to cold-working the finished product

Notes:

Finished rings will be ready at end of class
Coffee and other drinks will be provided

Justin will answer all questions and make sure everyone leaves with the inspiration to continue to make beautiful beads!

Prior Beadmaking experience required.
