Saturday, March 14th, 2020 @ 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Come watch FREE DEMOS and learn about the art of glassblowing from our renowned artists. Want to join in the fun? Sit one-on-one with a glassblowing instructor and create your very own project. Individual project descriptions and pricing is listed below for your reference. There will be a discount of 10% off these prices during the Open Houses, as well as a 10% discount off any of our blown-glass gifts that are for sale.

Here’s how it works: First, you’ll choose your project type and select your colors. Then, you’ll take a seat on the glassblowing bench alongside your glassblowing instructor (for your safety, you will remain seated during the activity). The instructor will outline the process and demonstrate the techniques they will be performing, while also showing you how to participate and be part of the process. Once you’re ready, the instructor will gather the molten glass and assist you in creating your own piece of glass art. After completion, staff will place your finished project in the annealing kiln where it must remain for at least 24 hours to strengthen. Projects are typically ready for pickup on the Tuesday following the Open House.
